I love this thing. It's a beauty when empty and as lovely as anything containing a bunch of cords and electronics can be when full. :) So many of the large charging stations available are completely ugly plastic concoctions and I had resolved myself to having no charging station rather than succumbing to one of those styles.... ! Luckily this beauty came along. It is a medium tone bamboo - bamboo is great because it's very hard/scratch resistant, as well as having a lovely grain to it. This unit has a light/medium finish to it. We homeschool and use iPads/laptops for a portion of our school day so we have many devices littering our counters. This has made a HUGE different to the look of my school room - I am so happy. :)

It is solidly constructed with attention to the edges/details. I love that the top is lightly magnetic and when you put it on the base it "clicks" in/you know it is on there nice and securely - which is important when you plan to load the top with tons of expensive electronics! There are tons of areas to thread your cords. Three of the sides have big cord cut outs and both the front and back shallow slots have two small holes to thread through the top of the base. I use the end slots for apple pencils and phones, it's also a nice place to park small remotes. The large cutout on the one end is located at the base of the unit (the side cutouts are on the top of the base), and perfectly sized to to slip the Altoid container I use to store the Apple Pencil adapters in and out easily so they are conveniently located and I don't lose them!

I am still getting all of the cords and the large USB port necessary to better organize the base but it will be no problem to fit it all in there. Right now I can fit the adapters for the two laptops in there plus a bunch of small USB units and all their cords. As for the top - my iPad minis, regulars, and the large Pro size all fit great in here. I can also fit the Macbook Air and Surface book into these slots. Each of the 10 slots is right at 1" wide. You can double stack the mini iPads in a slot but with cases on the larger ones are a bit too tight to double fit. The edge lips are .5" high, so just a bit of an edge to keep small devices from sliding out. Coming from each end the first wall is 1.75", the next is 2.25", and all the middle ones are 2.75". I wouldn't feel comfortable putting the computers or large iPads into the lower walled spaces but they are very secure in all the middle slots.

My only wish is that the base of the device came with some rubber grippies covering the four screws in it. The screws are sunk into the bamboo well and I am 90% certain they won't scratch the surface of what the unit is sitting on, but I am on the paranoid side about scratches. Plus the grippies would be an extra level of security to keep this baby in place when it's fully loaded. Not a big deal, I can easily add a set myself!

I was able to purchase this station at a discount in exchange for my time testing it out and reviewing it. I read Amazon reviews to determine what products to spend my money on so I aim for 100% honesty with my assessments - be they good or bad! I am impressed with this company's build quality and will happily follow their brand and buy from them with confidence in the future. I think you'll love this charging station if you chose it!
